Re-Opening Policies

The conditions under which we will be operating are vastly different than those which existed earlier this year. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our new rules and policies before coming to the JCC.

These policies strictly follow state and county health guidelines under the current "High Level Transmission" category to minimize risk to our community. These policies may change as new guidelines are released. Thank you for understanding and for your compliance.

General Rules:

NEW HOURS:

Monday - Thursday 6 AM - 7 PM

Friday 6 AM - 6 PM

Saturday & Sunday 9 AM - 5 PM

Effective October 28, 2020 masks must be worn at all times while in the JCC. The only exception to this is for swimmers when they are in the pool.

  • All members and staff are required to wear a mask while in the building. Masks will be available to purchase if you do not have one.
  • All members and staff are required to receive a temperature check and health screening before entering the building. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, or who is exhibiting other symptoms, will not be allowed in
  • Only members and staff will be allowed in the building. Guest Passes will not be honored at this time
  • Fitness reservations are open to Members 16+. Members who have completed our Youth Weight Room Certificate may book a reservation with a parent present. Childcare will not be offered at this time
  • Social Distancing of at least 6' (10' when working out) is required at all times
  • Entrances, Exits and One-Way Paths will be clearly labeled. Please follow these directions
  • Members must reserve a workout time in advance. Drop-ins are not guaranteed and will only be accommodated if there is an opening in the schedule. Members can make reservations by clicking here
  • Individuals who are high risk are discouraged from using the facility under the current restrictions

Health + Fitness Rules:

  • Masks are required while exercising. The only exception to this is swimmers while they are in the pool
  • Members must reserve a workout time in advance. Drop-ins are not guaranteed and will only be accommodated if there is an opening in the schedule. Members can make reservations by clicking here
  • Fitness reservations are open to Members 16+. Members who have completed our Youth Weight Room Certificate may book a reservation with a parent present. If non-members make reservations these reservations will be cancelled. Guest Passes are not valid for use at this time
  • Reservation times will be limited to 45 minutes. Members are allowed a maximum of 2 fitness reservations per day
  • Members should arrive 10 - 15 minutes before their reservation in order to be given a health screening
  • Social Distancing of 10' is required at all times while working out
  • Some equipment in fitness areas may be closed in order to enforce 10' of separation
  • The Running Track is available for use on a first come first served basis with a Fitness Reservation. One person at a time will be allowed, and mask may not be removed while exercising
  • Personal Training is available and can be scheduled through MindBody, or by emailing Cari Junge
  • Members must disinfect equipment before and after use
  • Group Fitness Classes are offered and more information can be found here
  • Individual Basketball (shooting hoops but no team play) will be allowed as part of a reservation. Reservations for multiple people in the same household are available, please contact Cari Junge
  • No water will be provided, and communal drinking fountains will be closed. Please be prepared with your own water
  • Gym bags and other large personal items will not be allowed in the building. Members will need to come dressed ready to exercise. Small personal items such as water bottle, phone, keys, earphones, purse, jacket, and personal sweat towel will be allowed
  • JCC sweat towels will not be available for member use at this time 
  • Locker Rooms will be closed. Family Change Rooms will be open for toilets and sinks for hand washing
  • All fitness reservations must be cancelled at least 2 hours prior to the time of the reservation to avoid a “late cancel” fee of $5.00, or a “no show” fee of $8.00

Outdoor/Indoor Pool Rules: 

  • All reservations for the Outdoor Pool are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather
  • Members must reserve a workout time in advance. Drop-ins are not guaranteed and will only be accommodated if there is an opening in the schedule. Members can make reservations by clicking here
  • Reservation times will be limited to 45 minutes. Members are allowed a maximum of 2 fitness reservations per day
  • All swimmers must take a cleansing shower before entering the pool
  • One lap swimmer per lane will be allowed. No congregating at walls during turns
  • Lane Entrances, Exits and One-Way Paths will be clearly labeled. Please follow these directions
  • Pool equipment will be available for use and disinfected after every reservation
  • All fitness reservations must be cancelled at least 2 hours prior to the time of the reservation to avoid a “late cancel” fee of $5.00, or a “no show” fee of $8.00

Coronavirus/COVID-19 Warning and Disclaimer

Coronavirus/COVID-19 is an extremely contagious virus that spreads easily through person-to-person contact. Federal and state authorities recommend social distancing as a means to prevent the spread of the virus. COVID-19 can lead to severe illness, personal injury, permanent disability, and death. Participating in JCC programs or accessing the facilities/equipment could increase the risk of contracting COVID-19. The JCC in no way warrants that COVID-19 infection will not occur through participation in JCC programs or accessing JCC facilities.
